Bob and Pam have been married since 1975, are the parents of David and Jessica and the grandparents of Franny and Adah. They have been with Prestoncrest since 2002. Bob is a native Texan but has also lived in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and almost in Kansas (Kansas City). He received a Bachelors in Bible and Biblical Languages from Harding University, a Masters in Religion from Harding School of Theology and has a passion for spiritual formation, teaching people about Jesus, and lunch with Christian brothers (Tex-Mex).
Bob’s love for spiritual formation and small groups was born during his ten years in campus ministry at Memphis State University and Southwest Missouri State University. He received formal training in Spiritual Direction from the Institute for Christian Spirituality through Lipscomb University and regularly leads Spiritual Journey retreats at the Glen Eyrie Retreat Center, just west of Colorado Springs.
Bob has written 3 books, Walk With Me (co-authored with Prentice Meador), Step By Step: A 90-Day Walk With Jesus Through The Gospel of Mark and An Honest Cry. He has also written for numerous journals including Campus Journal, The Small Group Letter, and Leaven. For several years he was Managing Editor for 21st Century Christian Magazine.
For more than 30 years Bob has been actively involved in several ministries in Ghana, West Africa including the Ghana West Africa Missions, a water-well drilling / church planting mission begun by his Father, George Chisholm, the Village of Hope, an orphanage for abandoned children, and Heritage Christian College, training ministers to serve all over West Africa. He has also consulted with both Missions Resource Network and Great Cities Missions and has taught spiritual formation to mission teams in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.
