Gordon and Ila Dabbs have been with Prestoncrest since the beginning of 2009. Gordon has a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in Philosophy and holds advanced degrees in Ethics and Biblical Interpretation. Serving Prestoncrest in Dallas, Gordon has a heart for racial reconciliation and for building bridges between diverse people. Young Adults & Singles 21-35 Jacob Hawk serves as the Young Adults and Singles Minster for Prestoncrest. He holds both bachelor and master’s degrees in Bible and Ministry from Harding University and a Ph.D. in Christian Leadership from Liberty University. He speaks at seminars around the country. When he was in third grade they moved to Montgomery, AL and then they moved to Huntsville, AL when he was in high school. Children, Nursery – 6th Grade Rebecca and her husband, Patrick, have been married since 1996. They reside in Frisco with their three children – Joshua, Sarah and Emma. Patrick and Rebecca have been members at Prestoncrest since 2000. Adult Education & Pastoral Care Robert graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Preaching and Ministry. Robert began his ministry serving the Ridgecrest Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma before serving the Gemeinde Christi in Dresden, Germany sponsored by the Prestoncrest Church of Christ. Worship Minister Rod was raised in Howe, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M in 1992.  He began serving as Prestoncrest’s Worship Minister in May 2024, leaving behind 32 years in the corporate world. Before beginning this full time ministry position, Rod served as a volunteer and part-time Worship Minister in other area congregations. He and his wife Stephanie married in 1993, have 3 grown children, and 2 grandsons.
